By downloading, installing, or using CookScope ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Yusuf Cetin ("we", "us", or "our"), the developer of CookScope. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
CookScope is an AI-powered recipe discovery app that allows users to:
The service is provided on an "as is" basis. AI-generated content, including ingredient detection and recipe suggestions, may not always be accurate. Always use your own judgment when preparing food.
When you first open the App, an anonymous account is automatically created. You may optionally create a named account with an email address and password to enable cross-device sync and account recovery.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
CookScope offers a free tier that includes one (1) lifetime fridge scan. No payment is required to use the free tier.
A Premium subscription unlocks additional features including up to three (3) fridge scans per day, daily streaks, chef badges, level progression, advanced dietary filters, and priority support.

Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's payment terms.
We may offer a 7-day free trial for Premium. The trial will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial period ends.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy.
You agree not to:
All intellectual property rights in the App, including but not limited to software, design, logos, and content, are owned by or licensed to Yusuf Cetin. These Terms do not grant you any rights to use our trademarks, logos, or other proprietary materials.
AI-generated recipes provided by the App are generated for your personal use. You may not redistribute, sell, or commercially exploit these recipes without prior written permission.
Photos you upload remain your property. By uploading photos, you grant us a limited license to process them for the purpose of ingredient detection and recipe generation.
Important: CookScope uses AI to detect ingredients and generate recipes. AI-generated content may contain errors. Always verify ingredient safety, cooking temperatures, and instructions independently. CookScope is not responsible for any adverse outcomes resulting from following AI-generated recipes.
In particular:
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
The App integrates with third-party services including Firebase (Google) and Fal.ai. Your use of these services through the App is also governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. You may request deletion of your account data as described in our Privacy Policy.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Turkey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Turkey.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
